Die [[Einstellscheibe 1-4]] ist eine reine [[Mattscheibe]] mittlerer Körnung, die in der Mitte eine recht große fein mattierte Fläche aufweist.<br />

Der Verzicht auf Einstellhilfen wie [[Entfernungsmesser#Schnittbildindikator|Schnittbild]] oder [[Entfernungsmesser#Mikroprismenring|Mikroprismen]] lässt auch den Einsatz an lichtschwachen [[Tele]]- oder [[Makro]]-[[Objektiv]]en zu. <br />

Exaktes [[Fokussieren]] ist auf der reinen [[Mattscheibe]] aber etwas schwieriger als mit Einstellhilfen. Wenn man dies in Kauf nimmt, sind die [[Mattscheibe]]n die eigentlichen [[Einstellscheibe|Universaleinstellscheiben]].<br />
